Fatma Betül Temiz, an instructor at the School of Foreign Languages, participated in the QUAAS 2026 – Quality Assurance, Accreditation and Standardisation Conference, held on 5–6 June 2026. The conference was hosted by the School of Foreign Languages at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University in collaboration with Oxford University Press. The event served as an important international platform focusing on quality assurance, accreditation, and standardisation practices in foreign language education within higher education institutions.

Organized under the theme “From Promise to Performance,” the conference addressed a wide range of current topics, including the development of a quality culture in language education, the implementation of institutional policies in classroom practices, sustainable professional development models, assessment and evaluation processes, curriculum development, and educational management. Academics and administrators from various universities across Türkiye had the opportunity to share their experiences and insights.

By attending the conference sessions and workshops, Fatma Betül Temiz gained valuable insights into contemporary approaches to quality assurance in higher education. The event also provided an opportunity to explore best practices implemented by different institutions and to establish potential avenues for academic collaboration with colleagues from across the sector.
