As part of the “Safe Future Together Project,” conducted by the Bilecik Provincial Police Department and in which our university is a stakeholder, an anti-addiction seminar was held for our students.
First-year students of our university attended the program organized at the Conference Hall of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences on Thursday, May 14.
Within the scope of the seminar, officials from the Narcotics Crime Department of the Bilecik Provincial Police Department and the Bilecik Green Crescent Counseling Center (YEDAM) provided information on types of addiction, personal protection methods, and the importance of awareness in combating addiction.
The program also addressed the physical, social, and psychological effects of alcohol and substance addiction on individuals, while sharing preventive measures against addiction and critical points that young people should consider regarding this matter with the participants.
During the event, students were also informed about the support services offered by the Bilecik Green Crescent Counseling Center (YEDAM) during the process of combating addiction.
