The Gölpark Winter Festival, organised under the coordination of the Bilecik Governorship, was held at Gölpark on Saturday, 17 January, attracting a large number of participants. The festival, which drew significant public interest, featured a variety of winter-themed activities and refreshments, creating a lively and festive atmosphere.
The event was attended by Faik Oktay Sözer, Governor of Bilecik; Burak Olgun, Chief Public Prosecutor; our Vice Rector Mehmet Kurban, along with members of the provincial protocol, students, and numerous residents. Protocol members toured the festival area and engaged with visitors throughout the event.
As part of the festival programme, 2 tonnes and 11 kilograms of anchovies were served to attendees, while traditional Pazaryeri halva and boza were also offered and received with great appreciation. Activities held throughout the day included tea service, children’s play areas, and sports activities, ensuring programmes appealing to participants of all ages.
The festival concluded with a concert by popular Turkish artist İsmail Türüt, who delivered an energetic performance and provided festivalgoers with an unforgettable finale.
