The Interuniversity Arm Wrestling Turkey Championship, organized by the Turkish University Sports Federation and hosted by Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University between 16–18th April 2025, was held with the participation of 100 athletes from 31 universities.

Participating in the championship on behalf of our university, our Vocational School Mechatronics Program student Ensar Abanoz won a double bronze medal by coming third in Türkiye in the 80 kg right and left arm categories.

Following the success in the championship, Ensar Abanoz, together with his trainer and fellow athletes, visited our Rector Prof. Dr. Zafer Asım Kaplancikli in his office. Our Rector stated that the success achieved by our student was a great source of pride for our university and congratulated Ensar Abanoz and all our athletes who contributed. Our Rector presented gifts to our student athletes and wished them continued success.
