The Spring Sports Competitions, traditionally held every year at our university, started this year with a football astroturf tournament. The tournament, organized under the coordination of the Health, Culture and Sports Department, was met with great interest from both our students and staff.

In the tournament, where the opening kick was made by our Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Murat Yurdakul and Prof. Dr. Mehmet Kurban, 12 staff teams and 18 student teams took to the field.

The football matches organised as part of the Spring Sports Competitions aim to add liveliness to the campus and increase interaction between staff and students.

The football tournament will continue with group and final matches to be played in the coming weeks.
