Bilecik Şeyh Edebali University continues to take significant steps in line with its internationalization goals in higher education. In recent periods, the university has signed new academic cooperation protocols with respected universities in various countries, initiated by different faculties and departments, demonstrating once again its determination to expand its global recognition and academic network.

One of the latest significant steps taken by the university in the international arena is the academic cooperation protocol established with Oregon State University, one of the well-established institutions in the United States. The protocol was implemented through the initiative of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Emine Serap Kızıl Aydemir, a member of the Faculty of Agriculture and Natural Sciences.

The protocol signed between the two universities includes long-term academic cooperation in areas such as joint research projects, faculty exchange, student mobility, joint seminars, conferences and academic events, and feasibility studies for dual-degree programs. The agreement is expected to open new horizons especially for graduate students in terms of joint studies, scientific publications, and research projects. Facilitating the inclusion of faculty members in international academic networks, enabling them to take a more active role in securing project funding, and expanding academic mobility opportunities for students are among the protocol’s primary objectives.
